TRICONTINENTALES + JORGE RUIZ

Tricontinentales is an interdimensional musical trio, formed in 2021 in Tilburg, NL. The band fuses elements of modern jazz, latin, funk, rock and pop, resulting in an elegant and dynamic display with an original and organic style. After performing in various stages from the european Jazz scene, like Theatre El Duende in Paris, the Botanic Sanctuary in Antwerp and Castle Dussen, Paradox, De Kring and Jan van Besouw in the Netherlands. 

Sujin Park, South Korean pianist and composer, Max Lange from Germany and bass player and vocalist Andrès from Chile are the elements of this multicultural band.

An accomplished oboist and saxophonist, Jorge Ruiz has performed with renowned ensembles such as the Phil Zuid as as substitute and the Aires Tropicales Quintet. With strong influences from Cuban musical traditions, Jorge brings a unique blend of classical and jazz styles to both instruments. In addition to classical performances, Jorge is actively building a career in jazz, with a focus on both the oboe and saxophone. Their work is distinguished by the fusion of Cuban rhythms and melodies with jazz improvisation, showcasing versatility and depth in their musicians.
